This term School Council have continued to focus on is working towards gaining a Silver Award in the Rights Respecting School programme. We have started 'Right of the Month', which has included setting up videos to send home. As the latest right is "The right to be heard", School Council have decided to implement a suggestion box which has now been set up in the school. Also, the School Council have signed up to take part in a project with counsellor, Rhys Lewis, that will involve them naming the Abercynon Workmen's Hall.
What are our targets for the term?
· To understand our rights as a child and work towards Silver Award in Rights Respecting School.
· To give pupils a voice through a School Council Suggestion Box, questionnaire and events.
· To help raise money for our school and a chosen charity-Guide Dog Association.
